Rusałka

 

The water depth of many rivers and lakes is often a home of Rusałka. This water daemon has a form of enchantingly beautiful young girl with long golden or green hair

Together with her sisters, wearing only wreaths of water-weed and flowers, they dance seductively in the moonlight. Woe the men encounter Rusałka and succumb to her charm. Those souls end their lives in the water abyss, drowned by a cruel spirit.
