When at noon, in windless weather, the fields of grain begin to ripple, it means that Południca began her hunt.

This daemon is the spirit of a miserable woman who died just before or after her wedding. A beautiful, pale woman, clothed in white, traverses the fields bathed in sunlight, looking for harvesters who not sheltered from the midday heat.
